Timber
Timber is a very cost effective way of flooring a balcony.
Gaps can be left between the boards to allow light to filter
into any windows below, and to allow rainwater to drain away
quickly. A variety of hardwood and tanalised softwoods are
available.
Solid floors
Concrete and tiled floors are available. Concrete can be
left plain or painted and a range of external tiles can be
used. A solid floored balcony can provide a waterproof shelter
to the area below which can be used for a variety of outdoor
pursuits. Lights can be set into the underside of the balcony
floor to illuminate this area making it the ideal location
for a barbeque or even a Jacuzzi.
Open Flooring
This traditional method of flooring a balcony allows light
to filter below and is particularly suitable for period properties.
Glass Flooring
This option can create a remarkably elegant and stylish finish,
extending the view even more. The price for this option is
available on application. |
